- Some may see me as a mature woman. I see myself as being of mature years with the curiousity and optimistic expectation of a child. I am serious and staid, enjoying a "candlelite supper" with china, crystal, and silver,or light-hearted and spontaneous, packing the wine and goblets into a picnic basket with sometimes puposely mismatched tablecloth and napkins. Many of my best moments are spent walking with my husband, praying in church or by my icons, yoga stretching in the garden, following the play-lead of my grandchildren, delighting in a new recipe, or creating a vestment, hat, or design. I enjoy watching a good football game, baseball, and even basketball (thanks to my time in Lexington). The Kentucky Derby is my favorite non-holiday holiday, and Pascha (Easter) is my favorite holy-day.
